This fulltime, permanent role sits within our Rukuhia te Mahi team, where you’ll connect tauira and graduates to apprenticeships, jobs and career pathways. As the Worker Broker, you’ll lead our employer engagement, job matching, and endtoend placement support.
This role focuses on:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers and industry partners. Matching work‑ready tauira and graduates to suitable job opportunities and apprenticeships.
- Coordinating job interviews, placements, and onboarding support for employers.
- Providing post‑placement and pastoral support to both employers and new employees.
- Supporting job seekers with employment preparation and job search activities.
- Tracking employment outcomes and contributing to reporting requirements.
- Working closely with trainers and pastoral staff to identify work‑ready participants.
- Monitoring labour market trends and emerging employment opportunities.
What Makes You a Great Fit
You have experience in employment services, recruitment, or workforce development, with strong employer engagement and relationship management capability. You understand employment pathways, apprenticeships, and labour market dynamics, and are familiar with MSD systems and emerging labour market opportunities.
You’ll also thrive in this role if you:
- Are confident in networking and advocacy, with clear written and verbal communication
- Are highly organised and proactive, managing coordination and time effectively
- Bring strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Provide pastoral support and respond early to placement issues
- Are skilled in onboarding, induction planning, and preparing candidates for placement
- Hold a clean full driver’s licence
- Have, or are working towards a qualification in Business, HR, Career Development, or relevant industry certifications (Desirable but not essential)
