As Clinical Nurse Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of clinical care across our services. You will provide lead and coach a team of highly capable Registered Nurses to deliver safe, effective, and evidence‑based nursing practice.

In addition to your clinical leadership responsibilities, you will contribute to service development, clinical quality, and continuous improvement. Our services support people at every stage of life and include Tamariki Ora, immunisation outreach, chronic care, asthma and contraception services, school‑based nursing, and community clinics.

A day in the life:

  • Provide clinical supervision and leadership to a team of nurses and healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and compassion
  • Ensure high standards of patient care and compliance with professional and regulatory requirements
  • Support training, mentoring, and ongoing professional development for clinical staff
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to strengthen service delivery and outcomes
  • Act as a visible role model for best clinical practice, professionalism, and culturally safe care

Mōu tēnei tūranga - This role is for you

You are an experienced Registered Nurse with strong clinical judgement and well‑developed leadership capability. Values‑driven in your approach, you understand the importance of modelling behaviour that reflects kaupapa Māori and tikanga Māori in everyday practice.

You are confident in leading others, providing clinical supervision, and supporting staff growth, while working comfortably and autonomously in community settings.

You also possess:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Registered Nurse including time in a leadership role
  • Strong clinical skills and commitment to evidence‑based practice
  • Excellent communication, team‑building, and decision‑making skills
  • Experience providing clinical supervision, or a clear pathway toward meeting supervision requirements
